Hotel Terms and Conditions

Prices

Prices are per room per night and include breakfast buffet, VAT, and exclude visitor's tax.

 

Check-in and check-out of hotel rooms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing

 

– Your room will be available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival, and earlier if possible, ready for occupancy
– Rooms must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure
– Rooms will be allocated within the confirmed category, subject to availability

 

Room cancellation

Room reservations can be canceled free of charge up to 2 days prior to arrival. Room reservations canceled later than this will be charged at 80%.
Early departure and/or late arrival will be treated as a "no show" and charged, unless this change to the reservation is notified in writing 2 days in advance.
Cancellations and/or changes to reservations must be made in writing. The place of jurisdiction is Bern.

Credit cards

In addition to cash, EC-Direct, and Postcard, we also accept reka checks, the reka card, and Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards.

Terms and Conditions Meetings & Seminars

Cancellation
The written reservation confirmation is binding. If you need to cancel your booking in whole or in part, please notify us in writing.

 

The later your cancellation is received, the more difficult it will be for us to reoccupy the beds and rooms reserved for you. If no other reservations are made, the cancellation will be charged as follows:

 

20 to 30 days before the event
40% of the agreed amount

 

8 to 19 days before the event
80% of the agreed amount

 

0 to 7 days before the event
100% of the agreed amount

 

The number of participants specified two days in advance is binding for invoicing purposes. We cannot take any later cancellations into account. Participants who do not cancel will be charged in full.

 

Right of withdrawal
Written cancellation by Andalo GmbH is possible in justified cases (in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations) up to 3 months before the event.

 


After your event, you will receive a total invoice. We expect your payment to be made within 30 days net. We do not accept discounts or cash discounts. Individual payment is not possible for social events. Our prices include 7.7% VAT.

 

Liability
The organizer will be charged for the removal of extraordinary contamination or the repair of damage to the castle, course rooms, hotel rooms, and park. The place of jurisdiction is Bern. The house rules are an integral part of the general terms and conditions.

 

Additional rooms
Additional rooms (if not included in the seminar package) and special furnishing requests will be charged according to expenditure and agreement.

Terms and Conditions for Parties & Banquets

General information
Münchenwiler Castle is keen to ensure that your event is an unforgettable celebration. To this end, it is necessary to agree clear rules and conditions between the organizer as the client and Münchenwiler Castle in order to avoid any misunderstandings.

 

Our contractual partner is the organizer. The organizer confirms that they are familiar with the content of these terms and conditions.

 

Schloss Münchenwiler undertakes to execute the order with due care. Schloss Münchenwiler provides the organizer with comprehensive catering services for their event, as well as the agreed infrastructure. Schloss Münchenwiler does not assume the role of event organizer in any way. Responsibility for the pre-determined schedule of the banquet remains with the event organizer.

 

Conclusion of contract and scope of services
After receiving your request, Schloss Münchenwiler will prepare a written quote detailing the scope of services and the estimated costs. The reservation confirmation is considered a contract. This can only be changed in writing or in consultation with Schloss Münchenwiler. The contractual agreement is decisive for the type and scope of the services to be provided. Any changes or additional services will be quoted and commissioned separately.

 

Minor changes
Schloss Münchenwiler reserves the right to make minor changes to its services in relation to orders in the event of short-term changes in market availability, such as due to a lack of goods on the market or significantly increased prices. It undertakes to fulfill orders to an equivalent standard.

 

Prices & Payment
Our prices include the applicable VAT rates.

 

You will receive the final invoice after your event. We expect your payment to be made within 30 days net. We do not accept discounts or cash discounts. Unjustified deductions will be invoiced.

 

The bill for a banquet can only be paid on site in exceptional cases that have been approved in advance.

 

Withdrawal from the contract
The clients have the right to withdraw from the concluded contract at any time in accordance with the following cancellation conditions.

 

– 60 to 31 days before the event: 20% of the agreed amount

– 30 to 7 days before the event: 50% of the agreed amount

– 6 days before the event: 100% of the agreed amount

 

The number of participants specified 3 days in advance is binding for invoicing purposes. Additional confirmed participants will be charged.

 

Written cancellation by Schloss Münchenwiler GmbH is possible in justified cases (in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations) up to 3 months before the event.

 

Additional staff
For additional staff, for example for parking services, setting up and dismantling decorations in the ballroom and on the castle grounds, we charge CHF 60.00 per person per hour.

 

Liability
The removal of extraordinary contamination or the repair of damage to the castle, in the function rooms, hotel rooms, and in the park will be charged to the organizer.

 

Place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Bern.
